Mitsubishi dan Renault-Nissan Bikin Mitsubishi Lancer

Pada November tahun silam, Mitsubishi dan aliansi Renault-Nissan bersatu untung berbagi produk, teknologi, dan kapsitas manufakturing dan sepertinya kedua belah pihak telah menyetujui langkah selanjutnya.
Mitsubishi akan memperkenalkan sedan kompak berbasis Renault atau Nissan pengganti Lancer. Kedua pihak masih belum memutuskan apakah akan memakai basis mobil Nissan atau Renault, begitu pula di mana mobil tersebut akan diproduksi. Mitsubishi mengumumkan, mobil produksi ‘keroyokan’ itu akan dipasarkan sebagai model global dan akan dijual di Eropa.
Tak hanya membahas Lancer, akan hadir pula sedan ukuran menengah berbasis Renault Latitude (Samsung SMS) yang akan dijual di Amerika Serikat serta Kanada. Mobil tersebut akan dibuat oleh Renault Samsung di Busan, Korea Selatan. Menurut Osamu Masuko, CEO Mitsubishi, mobil tersebut didaftarkan untuk mulai dijual 2-3 tahun mendatang.

Mitsubishi Triton terbaru akan diluncurkan pada tahun 2015. Dalam interview bersama Drive, Antonio Principe, Marketing Director Mitsubishi Australia mengungkapkan beberapa detail dari pick up andalan Mitsubishi tersebut.

Satu yang pasti, model terbaru Triton akan mengikuti langkah Chevrolet Colorado, Ford Ranger dan Nissan Navara untuk menjadi lebih ‘car like’ ketimbang sebuah truck. “Semua manufaktur membekali truck mereka dengan beragam penunjang kenyamanan, dan lebih mudah dikemudikan layaknya sebuah mobil biasa. Namun amatlah penting untuk tetap mempertahankan  fleksibilitas, kemampuan towing yang besar serta kemampuan lainnya,” ucap Principe.

Reversing Camera & Reverse Parking Sensors

The reversing camera supplements the driver's rear field of view by automatically appearing on screen when reverse gear is engaged. The MMCS on XLS will display the rear camera’s view on the MMCS screen. On LS and GSR models the rear view will appear on the display audio system screen. Combined with reverse parking sensors that alert you when objects get a little close, parking your Lancer is easy. Reverse parking sensors available on XLS only.

INVECS III ‘Smart Logic’ transmission

Enjoy effortless acceleration and a more predictable ride. The Lancer’s INVECS III (Intelligent and Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System) improves performance by automatically switching between logic controls. An onboard computer learns and adapts to a driver’s preferences by recording engine and foot braking data. The control logic then adapts the automatic gearshift timing to suit that driver’s style, while minimising torque function fluctuations.

Lancer has a long list of advanced safety features including a reversing camera on LS, GSR and XLS models and 7 SRS airbags and new stylish side mirror turn indicators across the range. Standard safety features also include Active Stability Control (ASC), Active Traction Control (ATC) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), all of which contribute to Lancer's 5 Star ANCAP Rating.
We′ve created plenty of load space, aided by 60/40 split folding seats. Lancer LS, XLS and GSR models offer Smart Key keyless entry, allowing you to lock and unlock the doors or open the boot, all with the key tucked away in your bag or pocket.
The updated Lancer range also includes the high performance Ralliart and Evolution models.
